How to Export Trade History From Tastyworks
We require .CSV from Apex Clearing for all Tastyworks/Tastytrade accounts. You can set up a free account at Apex Clearing here or follow the steps below. DO NOT use Tastyworks/Tastytrade Tax Worksheet. It won't work. If you already have a login on Apex Clearing site, skip to step 8.
To create an Apex Clearing account, follow these steps:
1. New User ID Setup
Click 'Next'
2. Account Number
Input the account number from your broker. This will be found in your account settings with your broker. Click 'Next'.
3. Input SSN
Input your SSN. Click 'Next'.
4. Enter Email
Input your email address. We recommend using the same one you used for your broker. Click 'Next'.
5. Secret Question
Choose a 'Secret Question' and input the answer. Click 'Next'.
6. Choose a User ID and Password
Choose your user ID and password. Click 'Finish'.
7. Click to Start
Click the link that says 'Click Here to Start Now'.
8. Sign In
Sign in with your username and password
9. Apex Online Menu
Go to Apex Online Menu and choose 'Activity' from the dropdown.
10. Verify Activity Type
Click on 'Activity Type' and verify all boxes are checked.
11. Start and End Date
Choose a 'Start' and 'End' date. This will usually be January 1 for the 'Start Date' and then December 31 for the 'End Date' for the respective year.
12. Click 'Submit'
Once you have verified all activity types are selected and the date range is correct, click 'Submit'.
13. Activity Report
An activity report should have been created. Click on the 'Hamburger' icon in the top right of the table as shown.
14. Check All Columns
Verify and set all columns to a checkmark as shown.
15. Export to CSV
Export the new activity report with all columns shown to a CSV and you're done.
We recommend moving your downloaded CSV file from your Downloads to your desktop.
